BETSY WATKINS STUDIO @ SOUTH FREMANTLE HIGH SCHOOL Pass Crescent, Beaconsfield,
The studio is located at the rear of the school.
From Lefroy Road turn onto Porter St, then right into Pass Cres. Don't follow the road around the corner, instead go down the driveway and turn right into the carpark.
This studio is named in memory of Betsy Watkins - a much loved member of Free Spirit Gypsy Tribal and Tribalive! - who passed away in March 2009. Betsy once joked that if we ever held a "Tribal Fest in the West", it should be held in the "Betsy Watkins Memorial Hall". So we have named our special Studio dance space in loving memory of our "Miss Betsy".
Betsy was also a talented artist - the drawing of the tribal dancer featured on this website is one of Betsy's creations, and the Studio itself is decorated with several of her artworks.

STUDIO HIRE RATES
For regular hirers : (Weekly classes - ongoing regular bookings)
- $10 per hour for 0-5 students
- $15 per hour for 6-10 students
- $20 per hour for 11+ students
- $10 Cancellation Fee for classes cancelled at short notice (less than 14 days).
For casual hirers:
Conditions :
- If you have a studio booking - you are responsible for the cost of that space.
- There is no need to observe terms at the Mata Hari Studio. Teachers are encouraged to roll through.
- Hire fees can be paid by bank transfer, cash or PayPal*
- Cash payments are to be put into an envelope, labeled with NAME/date/time/Amount and posted into the locked drop box. Proforma envelopes are available at the studios. Naked envelopes will be treated as anonymous donations to the FSDC.
- Teachers are responsible for the collection of emergency contact information for their students.
- It is an expectation that regular hirers observe safe dance practice procedures and refresh their skills and knowledge annually.
*PayPal transactions attract a 2.5% surcharge.
