This is a continuing class for those students with at least one year’s exposure to GC tribal style. We will:
- expand our movement vocabulary
- drill what we have done so far
- focus on leading and following, including changing the lead
- practice moving into and out of the chorus
- consolidate verbal and non-verbal cues
- continue to explore "floorplans"
Tribal is a community dance, which means everyone is involved and there is constant communication between the dancers. It is a wonderful dance form that provides exercise and will help consolidate the Suhaliya tribe.
About your teachers
Richelle has been dancing since 2001 and is one of the founding members of the Free Spirit Gypsies who follow the GC format since 2005. She was lucky enough to have Paulette Rees Denis as her first teacher and has expaneded her studies with many other tribal teachers including Rachel Brice, Devi Mamak, Melusina, Sue Erokan, Fiona McPherson, Dee Thomson, Jacquie Peppercamp to name a few. She has been fortunate to have danced Tribal style all over Australia sharing this amazing dance with her beautiful tribal sisters.
